“Memory has always felt atmospheric to me. It’s never been a record of what happened, it’s more like a sensory and emotional residue of having been there.”
In the studio, I work on a scale where the outside world fades away. Using compressed charcoal, limestone, acrylic, and salt, I honor the physical evidence of change as layers erode and resurface. Through that process, I build spaces that feel unearthed rather than constructed.
My work doesn't aim to tell a specific story. I create open sanctuaries where the work invites you in to make space for your own memories and emotions to play.
While the work always begins with my own search for understanding, it is never intended to remain there. The painting recedes, the atmosphere steps forward, and the viewer can become the true subject. My work offers a space where meaning can emerge rather than be prescribed, reminding us that our inner landscapes are often more alike than we realize.”
